Warmer weather and falling ice may cause additional power issues:
Many miles of power line from Stockholm to Agency Village remain ice covered after the Christmas day ice storm. With warming temperatures the ice will begin to fall from the lines. As a result of falling ice, power lines often bounce and sometimes come in contact with another wire causing a momentary or prolonged outage.
During this time, Whetstone members are asked to contact our office directly if they experience an outage of more than a few minutes.
Just a reminder to never approach downed power lines and be mindful of potential hazards from falling ice.
